Pregnancy & Baby

Please note that due to the current public health crisis, pregnancy is considered a "moderate risk" and therefore you would be required to present confirmation from your GP or midwife that you are fit and well, and can receive massage. Please also note that because pregnancy massage is a side-lying treatment, to adhere to guidelines for close contact services, you would be required to wear a face covering for the duration of your session.

Pregnancy massage is a great complementary choice that goes hand-in-hand with traditional antenatal care.  Safe from 12 weeks onward, benefits of pregnancy massage may include:

  • relief from many pregnancy-related discomforts, including headache and backache

  • relief from leg cramps and oedema (swelling)

  • reduction of stress

  • reduction of stress on weight-bearing joints

  • improved circulation

  • improved lymph circulation (lymph is the fluid that carries waste away from muscles and internal organs)

  • stimulation of serotonin, which is the body's anti-pain hormone

  • improved sleep

Pregnancy massage makes a lovely gift for the expectant mother in your life.

Because your treatment is unique to you, I charge for my time, not for the treatment.
